We will be meeting at a small fishing pier in Square Lake, inside John Prince Park. Enter the park from the Congress Ave side (next to the driving range) and you will drive straight to the small parking lot by the pier.
**You will need to bring water, sunscreen and a chair for fishing, if you’d like to sit down. Also, please wear clothes that can get dirty and sweaty.**
What is benthic sampling?
Basically, we will be using a specialized net to sift through the sand at the bottom of the Lake Worth Lagoon effectively catching invertebrates, because they are diverse and are good indicators of ecosystem productivity and health.
