Jewell Cove Bioblitz + Shoreline Clean Up

Jewell Cove Bioblitz + Shoreline Clean Up

Join us at Jewell-Steinhardt Cove for a Bioblitz extravaganza! What is a bioblitz you ask?..

A bioblitz is a communal citizen-science effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible.

Bioblitzes are great ways to engage the public to connect to their environment while generating useful data for science and conservation. They are also an excuse for naturalists, scientists, and curious members of the public to meet in person in the great outdoors and are a lot of fun!

**WHAT YOU WILL NEED**

Water
Sun protection
Shoes for walking through mangroves or over rocks
Snacks
Smartphone with the iNaturalist app (free)

How to Use iNaturalist:

AUG 21st – Living Shoreline Volunteer Day at Bryant Park

We meet on the shoreline in front of the small parking lot on the south end of the park (near the playground on 4th Avenue South).

As “adopters” of the living shoreline planters along Bryant Park in Lake Worth Beach we proudly take on the maintenance for this project so that we can make the Lake Worth Lagoon a better place for all.

**Come prepared to get dirty and sweaty, and wear shoes that can get wet. Remember your reusable water bottle, a hat and reef-friendly sunscreen. :)**
