JUL 10th – Living Shoreline Volunteer Day at Jewell-Steinhardt Cove w/ Professor Screech!
SPECIAL GUEST: Professor Screech!
Professor Screech is an expert in observing the crossroads of environmental/social justice and art. Her goal is to teach environmentalism + social justice through art + nature + community.
We meet on the shoreline across the street from the Lake Worth Beach Municipal Beach (park in the metered parking lot along A1A and walk across the street to where you’ll see a bus stop bench and interpretive sign).
As “adopters” of the Jewell-Steinhardt Cove living shoreline project in Lake Worth Beach we proudly take on the maintenance for this project so that we can make the Lake Worth Lagoon a better place for all.
Come prepared to get dirty and sweaty, and wear shoes that can get wet. Remember your reusable water bottle, a hat and reef-friendly sunscreen. 🙂
