Water Quality Testing

Lake Worth Waterkeeper runs weekly water quality testing where we test for Enterococcus bacteria throughout the Lake Worth Lagoon and E. Coli in the Chain of Lakes. This type of testing is the first of its kind and the most extensive bacteria monitoring program for the lagoon.

Enterococcus bacteria standards

Good

Low levels of bacteria present.
(0-35 cfu/100ml)

Moderate

Moderate amounts of bacteria present.
(36-70 cfu/100ml)

Poor

High amounts of bacteria present.
(>71 cfu/100ml)
